I have a powerline home network connecting my sky box, smart TV, PC and a ReadyNAS Duo. I have wireless in the house and garden.
I bought the NAS 5 years ago when I was motivated to expand my techy knowledge but life got in the way. At present it sits in my workshop as an out of the house manual back up for my family photos. It is set up as a 1Tb raid 0 drive basically. I am not using any of its clever features. I have a few DVDs on it that I'm working through on my tablet.
I would like to transfer my MP3 collection to the drive and play them in the living room. I would like a simple system that easily finds the files and plays them. The missus wants DAB radio too. I guess radio streaming might provide this instead but my internet connection never manages more than 2Mbits.
I've seen Sonos products but do not know enough to find the right solution. I could stretch to a couple of hundred quid for a user friendly solution I'm not an audio fiend so I'm not aiming for super hi fidelity.
Any help would be much appreciated. If anyone knows a good primer on the subject that would be cool.
