My current Network.
File server SPEC: pentium 4 @ 3Ghz, 2 Gb ram and running windows vista and wirelless reciever card:

I have a £100 budget if any other components are needed.
the file server will be next to my PS3, does anyone know if i have my PS3 connected to a wireless network, it can also be connected to a wired network at the same time. (internet>wireless>PS3)(fileserver>wired>PS3)
My primary objective is to make my whole file server share files with the computer, PS3 and Laptop (basically so i can go on my computer and laptop and have a drive of the file server). as in the diagram above you will see i have a the computer connected to my PS3 but this is VIA a networt program which will only share things i tell it to share but if a folder has over 50 items, it refuses to share.
my secondary objective is to get my laptop able to print without connecting the printer directly to the laptop but going through the computer but i tried various guides and i not sure why it doesnt work.
Can someone help with simple steps because i've tried the guides and it refuses to work :S

, then we need to assess whether its viable to have everything wired or not? lets take it from there. WIred would ofcourse be the best way, if not then i would get some power plugs which will sort all your problems. in regards to the printer all you must do is set the printer as shared and connect the laptop in my network places. THE PC must be on for the laptop to print tho
