Hi everyone

Quick question my router plugs into a socket on my wall that the feeds up into the loft where I have a switch (that feeds tvs)

I was wondering from that socket in my wall can I run dual cable out of it? I want to get a wire into the conservatory.

?

For the sake of clarity, is the ‘socket on the wall’ an RJ45 faceplate or a powerline adapter?

With a relatively vague question comes a relatively vague answer:

1. Run a cable from the router to the conservatory, remember external grade cable is a thing and it can be run in conduit or hurried depending on the spec.

2. Buy a new switch, remove the feed that connects to the wall and connect it to the switch, then connect another feed from the switch to the wall and finally run a feed to the conservatory.

Not knowing the layout of your property, I don’t know which will be easier, but you get the idea.

Sorry it sounded ok in my head lol

So yeah router 2 wall RJ45 socket that then runs to loft and does its thing.

What I'm asking is inside that RJ45 box I have one wire coming from it can I connect 2? Or get a dual wire out single ethernet cable in

I’m still confused. Where is your router, by the wall socket where the feed comes in or in the loft? And does it have more than 1 Ethernet LAN port? You can ‘split’ ethernet with a switch (you already do) but you can’t split rj45 telephone sockets like you’re suggesting.
