Hi all - hopefully this is the correct sub-forum.
So i'm not sure exactly what i need so looking for some general advice.
Things i want to do
- Store all data / pics /movies centrally and have access to them wirelessly from various devices (Laptops and xbox). Would be nice to be able to access data over the internet from out of the home.
- Device needs to be quiet and small - i currently have an old PC which i was thinking about using however it isn't that quiet and the case is big.
- I want to be able to run excel on the device. I currently have a number of spreadsheets which auto download data from various online sources on regular intervals. At present it runs on my laptop when i open the excel file but i don't want to keep that on all the time.
I was just looking at the HP Proliant MicroSever which i think could cover what i need.
Total noob at all this but i'm keen to learn! Thanks for any advice.
