I'm having issues setting up my home network.
I've turned off simple sharing, and have enabled two of my folders on this laptop to allow sharing (Full for everyone for now).
For some reason I'm unable to view these folders from the same laptop if I go to \\Veg-Laptop\. I can see them but when I click to view them I receive the following message:
\\Veg-Laptop\Veg Laptop Music is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administator of this server to find out if you have permissions.
I am also unable to view any of the other systems if I go into View network computers, even the laptop does not show.
The laptop is definately set-up correctly on my Workgroup.
I've changed HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa to 0.
I've set a password up for the Administrator log in, but this did not help.
My HTPC is connected to the workgroup fine, if I type \\Veg-Media from the HTPC itself I can go into the shared folders without issue, I can also see the HTPC when viewing network computers from the HTPC itself.
Both of these machines are running Windows XP Pro SP3. Both of these machines are on the same Wireless Network, I have no firewalls running and I can ping both machines from each other.
Is anyone able to provide any ideas? I've spent most the day on here/google trying to fix this but to no avail.
Cheers
