So, just moved house and have had Plusnet Unlimited Fibre Extra started. Had same at old house using the TG582n router with the Openreach modem. Now on Hub One which has no need for Openreach modem.

I would like to use the Technicolour router as an extender/repeater via ethernet from the hub one. Aware it can't deliver the 5GHz channel but is it doable? Thanks.

Yea it's doable! If you have a Ethernet going from one of the Ethernet ports on the Hub one to the red/pink Ethernet of the TG582n which should be numberd Ethernet 4 it should work this way i believe.

Similar to when you had your modem setup with the TG582n. It may register that the WAN IP is something like 192.168.1.xx for example though.

It might be worth making sure that the 2.4Ghz channels on the Hub one and TG582n operate on separate channels to minimize interference too.
