Hey, in a bit of a situation atm

Basically we've just purchased a nice new freecom fsg-3 storage gateway WLAN. A great router however the signal doesn't reach my room...

I have been trying to set up my old router (Belkin F5D6230-3) as some kind of repeater but to no avail

The current setup is:

MODEM --> wan port of FSG
FSG lan ports --> laptop, printer, Belkin router WAN port
Belkin router then connects wirelessly to my room

The PC in my room finds the belkin router but doesn't connect to the internet

Not sure if this is even the right way to go about setting this up or not, but any help would be appreciated

thanks :)

Don't use the WAN port - use one of the switch ports and disable DHCP on one of the routers.
The two routers will have to use different wireless channels and SSIDs as well.

Our belkin has a "use as AP" mode, but like Tolien says, disable DHCP and let the first router deal with all that mess and dont use the WAN
