Hello,

I bought some TP Link 200mbps homeplugs a good while ago. Never seemed to have had any issue with them. Just upgraded to FTTC and noticed that I only get half the speed on my computer as the office computer downstairs. Will this issue most likely be the plugs? Therefore necessitating the buying of faster plugs.

Thanks

Run a cable, far better

But not always practical.

The speeds rated on Home plugs don't really seem to mean much. In very happy with my TP-LINK ones but I get no where near the rated value.

When I was still at my parents house they did a re-wire and the speed basically tripped.

Just avoid TP-Link adaptors as they have disconnection issues.

Powerline adaptors are fine. Apparently they interfere with broadband but I've tested their affect several times and I have found no difference with them in use or not.

I can second this as im using TP-link powerline adapters 500mb ones and get d/c isssues often and have to resync a lot. Bought top end 1200mb devolo powerlines instead. just waiting on them now.
