Currently looking to renovate the house and want to install Multiroom audio.

Plan is to have a TV in the kitchen with 4 speakers around the room. doesn't have to be best quality but clear enough to hear TV/music whilst working. I don't want surround because i want clear vocals from the speakers on the other side of the room from the TV also without needing to put it on loud. They'll probably either be ceiling speakers or small satellite speakers.

the living room will have another TV (or hopefully projector) which will have its own surround sound system.

My question is I would like them to work separately but on occasion for playing music etc how can i combine them so same audio is outputted on both?

How does the Yamaha system work with TV audio to rear speakers. I can see the options to just stream music according the site. There is a soundbar option but not exactly what I'm looking for.

AVR with dual HDMI out is an option. Proper dual zone is only available on mid range+ AVRs (600-1k). Some budget models will say dual zone, but they can only send 1 source to two separate zones.

How many speakers are you going to run in the lounge? You might have to run an AVR + stereo amp(s) depending on the amount of channels you need, and the power requirements of the speakers.

In the lounge its a 5.1 system. So how can i tell the difference between real dual zone on the budget version. Do they have different names?

I have an AV already. So maybe an additional Stereo AMP. But how would that be connected up exactly?

£899? I suppose we don't HAVE to have tiling in the bathroom.
I have a very basic base model Yamaha AV. about 3 years old. Not sure the model top of my head. But one idea was to use that in my office (aka gaming room) and get an upgraded one for the living room.

I'll have to wait and see how much money is left over I guess.

you want 4 speakers in the kitchen yet also want the tv speakers to work? i don't think that is possible as you would need an AVR for 4 speakers.

No I mean front audio would be from the TV and rear audio would be the satellite speakers but yes I just realised that wouldn't work. My very old TV had speaker outputs and I was thinking of that.

Can I have 2 AVRs (one in lounge one in kitchen) that connect to each other? Like AVR + AMP combo mentioned earlier?
If so which feature should I be looking for that allows this connectivity.

it would be simpler just to use them seperately and then get chromecast audio for linking music.
why do you need such a set up? do you need audio in both rooms at the same time? if so what type of audio? music or tv/movies?

I think you're right. Its not a necessity I just want to plan my wiring since they will be tearing down a few walls and seeing what my options are.

I'll probably get 2 AVRs or maybe just a mini AMP for the kitchen since AVRs are big and I have no idea where I would put it.
