Home/Room planning software

Buying a new house, well new to me, and would like to import the rooms as models to plan furniture, kitchen etc.

I am still in the lawyer phase but the property is empty so intend to laser measure all the rooms and draw a rough plan then import.

Can anybody recommend any good software free/sub/paid?

I use Home Designer Pro (but bought it when it was a LOT cheaper).
