Does anyone know any online property search platforms that let you search for homes by size i.e. internal floor area in m^2 or whatever? At the moment on the likes of Rightmove the best I can do is click on the floorplan and hope it includes this information (hit and miss) which is obviously quite a laborious process.

The problem I have is that on RM the main search criteria for size is number of bedrooms but often this doesn't in itself tell me if a house will be suitable. You get some 4 beds that are very small e.g. under 120m^2, no ensuites, only 2 reception rooms etc whereas a good sized 3 bed would be adequate for our needs. But including 3 beds in the search returns a lot of noise that is far too small.

I know there is more to sizing than square metreage such as how practical/useful the space is, but it would be a good starting point to help me filter out properties that I deem too small.

I don't think there is such a thing for residential properties; I can't recall ever seeing a floor area as the 'vital statistics' as-it-were on any house we looked at.

Probably herd all of this before, but just re-structuring how you search for houses may be in order; filter out as mush as you can as quick as you can and then it must just be a case of price/bedroom to make a shortlist.

I prefer rightmove's 'draw a search' tool for very quickly crossing houses off the list as you can tell pretty quickly how big it is from the picture (or at lease tell if it's tiny) y clicking on the results, glancing at the tumbnail and ctrl/cmd clicking the link to open it in a background tab if it was interesting. I could clear an area quite quickly doing that
