Hi guys

Sorry if there’s threads with suggestions, but thought I’d ask for recommendations.

as of this morning my house was broken into and car was stolen so in dire need to buff security moving forwards

Does anyone have recommendations for camera set ups?

Nothing crazy expensive unfortunately but something that I can access with my phone, or get alerts.

A ring camera won’t cut it as I live in a terrace and anyone could easily pull it from the wall walking by.

Much appreciated!

There is a huge thread on CCTV setups further down the page in this forum.

Before you go look at it though, are you sure CCTV is what you need? It does little to nothing to deter thieves and is rarely of suitable quality to provide evidence to nail the nitwits in the highly unlikely event they are caught and prosecuted.

Your money will probably be better spent on other security measures such as reinforced entry points and locks. How did they get into your house?

So sorry to hear that.

I've been using Reolink Argus PT with solar panel since May last year and have no complaints and will be adding 2 more soon, but without pan & tilt.

I will add that many of these oxygen thieves will not be overly bothered by camera's, but beefing up locks and the like might be more productive as they don't like hanging around and too much noise.
