It's come to that point where sue to my requirements I need to upgrade my home server.

Previously I have slowly progressed from Synology 209, Synology 412+, HP microserver n40, HP microserver n54.

I am now at the point where I am considering the Gen 8 of the HP microserver which can support 16gb ram and comes with a x2 core celeron (about £330 with £109 cashback)

This is a little more than I have previously paid for previous microservers so wondering if its time that I broke out with a custom build for a little more cash?

Never done this before so thought I would see if there are any other people that have done the same and what specs they went for.

Requirements
* Run Windows server 2012
* Run SQL server 2012 (ssrs, ssis)
* Run my home Ipcam software (7 cameras)
* General file copy/ data storage tasks

I want this to be a low powered box and pretty quiet too. minimum 4 disk drives (but 5 would be best so I can use 5th for OS ssd (already have the ssd)

budget no more than £350
