Looking for some upgrade advice, I have an old Ex470 that has served me well over the last six years. It's still running WHS v1 (PP3) but has had a couple of upgrades over the years (dual core cpu, memory bump to 2gb).
Usage wise I have it doing the following:-
The unit itself is fairly stable and only lost a couple of drives over the years (one system though) which was straight forward enough to resolve. But now one of my drives is starting to fail again and before swapping up I'm wondering if I should just migrate the whole lot.
Would there be any noticeable benefit to treating myself to one of the newer N54L servers?
Usage wise I have it doing the following:-
- All media (Tv/Movies/Music) hosted on the duplicated shared folders (accessed by main TV running WMCE).
- Running Metabrowser to update all media content.
- AirVideo for iDevice streaming and iSedora to serve my daughters TV.
- Several other folders used for various backups.
