Home VMware/Hyper-V Host

Hi

i'm currently home studying for my MCITP: Server Administrator and need to setup a VM host box, i have specked something up but its £400+ im wondering if anyone here has done something similar to a tight budget.

i would prefer 8gb ram and 1tb disk space in the build, any suggestions on a hardware build, ideally i'd like something <£300

i need, case, HDD, MB, CPU, RAM

A little OT but shouldn't you be using Hyper-V instead of VMWare seeing as there's like, Hyper-V questions in the SA exam?
