Hi there,

I'm planning on adding a 2.1 system to my LG 32" LCD, assuming that the system is connected via a scart lead to the TV, how can i use the system while playing a console, usually a Xbox 360, will it pick up the sound automatically if the system is on, or is there a combination i need to use for it to work.

The TV has, DVI Input, 2x Scart, PC Sound, PS-232C.

Thanks in advance.

Have you bothered to even look at the available connections the 360 offers.
It also seems your knowledge on the matter of HDTV is rather limited.

Sometimes a little self exploration can reveal so much.

However...

You wont get Hidef from SCART
The Premium X360 will come with a "Component" cable and with this connection it offers HiDef and will allow you to use "OPTICAL" for digital audio or "RCA / PHONO" (RED/WHITE) for standard audio.

The 360 is connected via component for HiDef gaming.

I have noticed the optical out on the component lead, so what your saying is that if i connected 2.1 system to this optical out, the sound from the 360 would transmit through the tv aswell as the 2.1?

Yes, my knowledge is limited, hence why i'm asking...

Thanks.

I didn't mean to sound rude, chances are most people do know the answer but just don't reply.

Connect the sound system to the 360 via the optical output available on the component break out lead. Turn the sound off on the telly.

The sound has nothing to do with the TV, i think this is where you are getting confused. The TV would be used as a monitor only.
