Homegroup And Windows Firewall

I have a micro server with windows 8 on and i use it as the main server .....every other pc in the house can connect through the network into the shared folders...that is until of late when we go to the network to view the shared folders you click on micro server and a box pops up saying Diagnose and will not access the server.

Anyway ive been playing about with it and worked something out if i turn the firewall off on the server everything works great so ive narrowed it down to that.....so i then reset all the settings on the firewall to default but still the problem persists.

Has anyone got a idea why this is happening i dont really want to run the server without a firewall and help on this would be grateful thanks.

ok so ive found a error code i am getting and its
Error 0x80070035 - The network path was not found
i know its the firewall causing it but cant work out how to let it through...i am using windows firewall anyone have a idea thanks.

For now ive disabled windows fire wall and installed comodo firewall....all seems to be ok at the moment i can access it without any problems.
