Hi guys,

I've had Infinity for quite a while now and have been generally happy with the service. The wifi, however, is poo and always has been. It's reached its nadir this week with the connection dropping every other minute or so.

I live in a small block of flats where all 7 neighbours have wifi and I'm picking up some from neighbouring blocks too. I've messed about with channel hopping (although allegedly the HH3 does that automatically) but to no avail. Most of my gear (3 pcs, 2 360s, 1 ps3, 2 tellys and a Blu-ray) is wired via cat5, but one pc and a gaggle of iPads rely on the crappy wifi.

So, is there an alternative to the hh3 that will blast through apparently lead-lined walls and overcome the rest of the estate time shifting Jeremy Kyle? Does it need to be a particular type to handle the feed from an Infinity modem?

(oh, and I appreciate the fact that it may be the hh3 itself gone faulty. I just want to avoid another week on the phone to Mumbai.)

"Link removed" Sry.

Best way I've found to talk to BT is their on-line chat, written words seem to work much better.

Oh, I've tried the online chat. Once you get to the stage where it's identified as a fault, you get told to ring the customer helpline :(

Maybe I should have said "is there an alternative to the hh3 that OcUK stock" thereby eliminating competitor links...

I'm liking the look of the N66U (the 56U is out of stock.) Way more features than I need and a touch expensive at £145 but hey, if it does the job...

Any testimonials from N66U users?

SNIP

Odd, I didn't get rerouted (pardon the pun) my fault was passed to the network team by the Chat lady.

Interesting - maybe I'll try again.

...nah, I've got the urge for expensive kit now :D

Edit... Ordered.

Now, just hoping the thing isn't too complicated to set up.

Also, damn my timing. 5.30 on a Thursday and next day delivery is going to take 5 days :(
