Homemade Sauv Blanc

Has anyone tried this?

Mrs S has a liking for the NZ Marlborough, but at £7-12 a bottle is getting a wee bit expensive. Was thinking about starting up the home brew again and wondered how this compares in taste to the shop bought, big producers ones.

Me, I will drink anything, but getting through 30 bottles might be a bit much.....

Don't expect it to be anything like shop-bought, imo, particularly if you use a kit.

Had command veto on the idea any way last night........something to do with not having enough space for all the kit and then the 30 bottles......

You do get what you pay for to be honest, the more expensive kits are noticably better.

Try get her into country wines, it what i basically live on at uni.
My 15p a bottle to make coffee wine goes down a storm at parties, tastes like crap I think but people seem to love it, students eh?

A well aged apfelwein or orange wine can be better than a Sauvignon Blanc any day. Although I do like my normal wines at the same time.

Some of the kits I've made have been more than £40 for 30 bottles but well worth the money, fantastic wine, got drank far too quickly.
