Hi,

Everytime i open IE7 the homepage dosent automatically load and THIS error page is displayed instead.

However when i click the "home" icon in the toolbar, google.co.uk, which i've set as the homepage, loads up fine.

What's stopping IE7 from autoloading the homepage on startup and how can i fix this.

Thanks.

EDIT: forgot to mention; its a brand new install of vista 64 bit with sp1. Installed it just today after i upgraded to 4GB ram.

Try this, go to Registry Editor

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN

Set Start Page to whatever you want.

Thanks for the reply, i did as you said but still the same thing happens.

The page that it tries to load at start-up is this:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=76277

but then it tries to find the page, but the page dosent exist, so then this error page loads up:
http://www.msn.com/404.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/runonce2.aspx

It's like Microsoft has programmed IE7, so that the first time you load it this page comes up: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=76277, Like a intro to IE7. But since that page dosent exist anymore it keeps trying to load that page everytime i open IE7.
