Homeplug ethernet port speed

Excuse me if this is a stupid question...

But bought some TP Link passthrough home plugs. AV600, so rated to 600mbps
But they have a 10/100 mbps ethernet port on them?

I live in a new build so should be modern, decent wiring - but getting max 55ish MBps (wifi showing 180...)

Rubbish plugs or is the ethernet port limiting the speed?

if they truly do have 10/100Mbps ports on them that means the max speed you should be able to attain from those plugs is 12.5MBps

You said you're getting 55ish MBps ? That would equate to 440Mbps Which is pretty decent.
