Hi,

I have a laser printer/mfd in another room.
I can not run a cable there to it.
Having seen this home plugs, ethernet over mains, I was wondering about using one and plugging one end in to my hub/router socket and the other in the socket by my printer. Is it worth getting a fast one or will a 200mbps one be ok ? Does spooling print jobs to a printer use more bandwidth than that? Should I go for 500mbps or 1gbt?

I've yet to see a printer with anything faster than a 100mbps ethernet port.

200mbps HomePlugs will be fine, as will the older 85mbps.
