Homeplug powerline Noise ?

My homeplugs make a high pitched drone is that normal or can you get silent ones as there is no way i can use the ones i've just bought for my bedroom.

The handfull of Devolo Homeplug kit I've seen is silent.

Agreed - sounds non-standard to me.

I have used Devolo and Netgear without noise.

I'm running comtrend 200Mbs and they sound like a telephone modem they make a high pitch ringing noise when first plugged in and when connected they make a constant drone which is a shame as they connect across the house at 160mbs.

sidethink what model are you using and do the plugs make any noise at all ever as i plan on using them in my bedroom and any hum or drone will drive me nutz.

Problem solved the high pitched drone was the speakers picking up the homeplug signal

when i turn the speakers off they are silent.
