Homeplug reqs.?

The router is on the main floor, I am in the basement, the router would be kind of a pain to move, as other stuff on that floor needs a wired connection. Anyway, do homeplugs have to be on the sme circuit??

They don't have to be on the same circuit but you won't get anything like the rated speed if the signal has to go across the fusebox - 5-10mbps area.

Cool, cause I get 1 bar most times, 2 bars sometimes & at times the net just stops.

An openreach engineer told me the newer powerline adaptors don't have any problems with going through the curcuit breaker because they use the earth wire instead of the live.

So any homeplug av should work fine?

So do you mean new ones as in all homeplugs built now go across circuits or versions past homeplug 1.0?
