Is anyone using the Homeplugs to turn their mains wiring into a LAN and if so how does gaming over these perform compared to wireless?

I'm looking at getting the Solwise 200Mbps AV plugs.

I have my 360 connected to my router using homeplugs. I went to this after the wireless gave me to much lag. I highly rate homeplugs. Excellent for games.

Got the Solwise 200Mbit kit here and its been fantastic.

See performance of around 45-55Mbit/sec throughput in the real world which is far better than my wireless ever was and no packet loss either so also much better for gaming on that front :)

Homeplugs are excellent, I think It's better than wireless but the benifit of wireless is no wires. Where as the homeplug needs a cable. There should be no lag though through cable.

I have homeplugs for my Xbox360 and it's perfect. Not sure what speeds I'm getting, but there's no lag and downloads go at full speed.

I only paid £42 for 2 of them.

Are these the 85Mbps versions? What brand?

Can anyone report on ping times over their network between PC and router via the Homeplugs?

(normally a wired Ethernet connection from PC direct to router would be >1ms, my wireless reports around 2-5ms generally).

The ones I have are called "Max Value 85Mbps Home Plug".

It was cheaper to buy 2 singles than a double pack by the way. It was actually £44, my mistake. Double pack was £52 which doesn't really make much sense but I'm not complaining. Excellent value :) .
