I sometimes have problems with streaming things like iPlayer and having them buffer every so often. I want to get rid of this. I have a 30Mb connection with Virgin.

I am currently using WIFI and wondering if Homeplugs could remedy the situation.

What are the pro's and con's of the technology? Any pitfalls I should be wary of? What warrants the huge difference in price between the brands?

Do they work on multiplug adapter thingys? Does it degrade performance?

What sort of performance can you get out of them these days?

Thanks.

Please, please, please use the forum search. This question comes up about once a week and the answer is always the same:

Homeplugs will provide more reliable bandwidth than wireless. They are easy to use. They are fairly cheap. They will not provide the bandwidth advertised on the box, but are generally fast enough for most applications most of the time. YMMV.

Is bandwidth what I need?

Whats the different between the cheap and expensive ones.....or is it like HDMI cables, they are all the same?

I understand that you just plug them into the wall, what determines whether they are slow or fast? The quality of the wire for the internal wiring?
