Hoping someone can help me out here as i'm a bit lost.
I decided to give making my own wine a try as i'm told its very simple and can save a fair old amount of money, not to mention i tried some of the same stuff from a friend and it was real nice.
The problem is, despite being told these kits are idiot proof some parts don't make sense.
The picture is of the kit i bought which was a 5 gallon starter kit. The main problem being there are instruction from the shop as well as in the kit but both seem to say that you put all the ingredients together in the bin on the left hand side, but both then say to put in a bung and fill the air lock, the problem being theres nowhere to put a bung or airlock, they only fit onto the one on the right which is meant to be for the second stage when i transfer it.
My friends had said to get a tap put in so you dont have to put it into bottles, you can just pour a glass etc but would seem i got it on the wrong thing as its on the bin. Not that its a major issue.
I could have sworn the guy told me that you use the airlock to see when its stopped fermenting yet it if it ferments in the bucket and there is no airlock....
Any help would be great, feeling like i've probably wasted my money and bought all the wrong kit at the moment.
