I've been looking over the Tinterweb and found a few bits and bobs, however I want to use my HTC One X as my GPS and be mounted on my new CBR600. I've bought a charger for it and will connect to battery etc etc, that's the easy bit.

So, basing it on this, anyone doing something similar on their CBR?

I can see from here I can get a waterproof case for the phone, but it's the mounting of it on the bike that I'm confused with as this one has a crappy gripper type. Obviously with £450 of phone I want it to be 100% waterproof and 100% solid and not drop off...

Anyone out there help me?

Do you really need to be able to see it? Earphones and bung it in my pocket seems to work ok for me. I use a HTC Desire with the GPS that comes with it.

Yeah did think about that, but it's more for a glance than anything, don't want ear phones with some warbling women telling to me turn at next junction blah blah... thinking of when I go down south in July and possibly into Europe in August... just want something, put destination in, not follow exactly but every now and then a glance down type of thing...

I had a cbr 600f same as yours. Check out ram mounts (google it) and look for the tapered rubber bung that you can fit to the headstock. You then need a ram arm, and a mounting base plate. I bought a plastic case for my htc sensation then used areldite to stick the case to the baseplate.

Mmm, looks interesting BUT it's replacing a stem already on the bike isn't it... how long is the one on the bike that you take out? Just thinking, if there's something there now, that's meant to bolt the bike together, and you take it out replacing with this... is it weakening the whole assembly? I'm confused.com
No, this goes into the existing hex hole and you then tighten it with the top bolt leaving a completely solid mount.

Ahhhhh, with ya mate... right, makes sense now... MMmm, think I might look into this one then... sounds perfect. Suppose just need to measure the stem hole then make sure I buy the right size... anyone know what the stem hole size is on the CBR? Haven't got the bike delivered yet, so can't go out and measure it.
