Honda Civic 2007 - Battery change - Alarm going off constantly

Hi All

I changed the battery in my Civic and then connected it, but now my alarm is going off whenever I connect the battery.

My keyfob battery is dead and has been for years (I know I should change it and will), but any ideas of what to do?

Tried locking the car, connecting and the alarm goes off, same again when unlocking the car.

At the end of my tether as to what to do ;-/

I had this, the battery back up in the siren is dead, looking into the boot the siren is behind the right hand side plastics, i ripped them off and unplugged the siren!

Its a very common issue i found.

Thank you, ive read about the siren issue...so basically no alarm no more :-)

Easiest way sort it mate, honda want £500+

When they key fob battery died on mine the alarm would keep going off as couldn't use the remote locking which didn't disable the alarm. Manual lock let me in but couldn't disable the alarm.
