I currently have an FZ6 S2 naked 2008 & fancy a change, I test rode a Honda Fireblade 954 Yr 2002 11000 miles on the clock today it for sale at £3000, the bike was fine the only thing that concerns me is the more extreme riding position putting a lot more weight on the arms, as I commute daily on the FZ6 I was wondering if any of you commute on similar bikes & how you get on with the riding position.

I had a 954 for 3 years, using it for the daily commute which was 100 miles at the time. Also travelled to Italy on it as well as France a few times. In my opinion it was the best bike I've ridden. I was initially concerned that it may be uncomfortable on long trips. Coming from a VFR 800 I was used to a fairly comfortable bike, but actually, the 954 didn't feel that much different. Its seating position isn't quite as extreme as the newer sports bikes, and there was plenty of room on the seat for moving around.
