It's about time I got rid of it. It's been SORN since I got my Speed. It's got a bit of sentimental value (long story) so have held off on selling it.

BUT, there isn't any point in keeping the thing. By the time my nephew is old enough to ride (part of that long story), it'll probably need a good lot of work and probably won't be worth it.

So, does anyone know what I should roughly be aiming for either private or to a dealer (I know a dealer will offer less, but if it isn't much less then I'd consider it to avoid potential private selling issues).

It has 0 service history as it was all done by the previous owner, and I kept that up. It was well looked after, but after all that's just what I'm saying... whoever's buying it would have to take my word for it.

Left front caliper would need to be replaced as I've stripped the pin that holds the pads & they need replacing soon (or someone might be able to fit by cutting it and splitting the caliper).

I could get it through an MOT easily (in fact it hasn't expired yet I don't think) and the rear tyre has about 2k miles and the front even less.

Thanks!

£25 and you have yourself a deal :p

Yeh that's what I wasn't sure, I checked AutoTrader but can only find older bikes with fewer miles, or younger bikes with similar but not as much.

There's one on here for £2.5k but that has 10k fewer miles and in better condition.

Kind of hoping for around the £2k mark but not sure what to aim for really.

Yeh, prolly a good idea so I don't scare off the people that don't want to immediately work on the bike they bought! I basically have a caliper rebuild kit sitting in the garage (the washers) and also brand new sintered EBC pads which I never got round to putting in because of how it stripped, then I got a new bike!

Need to keep an eye out for a caliper on ebay, or might just rip it off and see if I can pull it apart. If it breaks then at least I tried :p

Where's a good place to sell bikes? Don't really want to pay autotrader.

I'm in Warwickshire. Not sure on a price quite yet, need to figure some other stuff out first but will let you know when it's up for sale :)
