Was looking at one of these but cannot find much info on serviceable parts.. e.g- pads, discs, filters etc. Does the normal type r parts fit this? Any info would be appreciated.

By this you mean the Mugen M200?

Its nothing more than a Championship White edition FN2 Type R with a Mugen plaque, black wing mirrors, mugen front/rear bumpers, and different wheels, apart from this there are no other differences from the Mugen M200 version and the 'normal' FN2 models. So the parts and service prices are the same...its more a badge engineering and cosmetic excercise really, it has no Mugen performance or 'mechanical' parts.

If you mean the ultra rare Mugen M20 version though (the one that cost nearly £40k when released, and they are very very rare cars, so I doubt you will be looking at these), then that has some quite considerable differences that would likely impact upon costs (for example, it has 4 pot brakes with Mugen pads and different disks from the more regular FN2...these cost a lot lot more).

to be honest I don't know what version it is..... it is advertised as a championship white mugen.

Does the budget stretch to an FD2? I'm guessing a mugen FN2 would be the same sort of price.

Get an FD2 if you can.

looking at your previous post Will... this does match your description.

Its an m200 then. Servicing and parts will be identical to the normal type r model then...since its no different in mechanical terms.

Whats your budget? The fn2 is not a bad car but if your budget stretches to s nice fd2 I'd be buying that, assuming you can stomach the higher insurance and running costs of the Japanese import type r. Its a better car to drive although its much more conventional to look at.

It would be worth getting a drive in an FD2 first though - I don't mind firm cars but the one I was in (not driven though) was really quite uncomfortable.

Was being driven at 8/10'ths though which probably didn't help!
