I've come across a weird issue I've not had before. I have a machine running Windows XP in the office here. It was switched on this morning and the windows/writing have shrunk so much they aren't readable any more.

I booted into safe mode and it's the same. I managed to log in and fiddle about with the resolution, it was up at it's highest, I put it down to what I assume is 800x600 and the window was a little readable but still tiny.

I've went through the monitors menu but nothing seemed to fix the problem.

have you tried the settings in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display?

It's very difficult to navigate on it as everything is so tiny you can't even read the writing. Might have to just end up reinstalling, certainly a weird problem since it affects safe mode too.

After more fiddling about with things I found out that somehow the DPI setting had been changed to a custom setting. No idea how this managed to happen but got it sorted out without having to re-install, always a bonus.
