I'm going to Hong Kong for 2 weeks in August - can anyone recommend any nice hotels ?

Thinking of staying in Langham Place in **** Kok around 160 USD / night - been recommended by a few people who have been there recently.

Anything else better hotel/location around the same price?

Thanks !

we stayed in the Sheraton on Kowloon which was a good location, not sure how much it was though

2 weeks in HK sounds a long time, I was bored after 4 days

Have finally decided not to book the hotel yet as I'm not sure how long I'll be in Hong Kong - not staying there for 2 weeks but off to Beijing/Shanghai/Shen Zhen inbetween!

i spent 2 months in hong kong in the summer and loved every minute of it!

if you're only going to be spending a short stay there why not consider a cheap hostel - should only set you back about 30 USD a night!

the Harbour Plaza is a really nice hotel, its got all the usual stuff, great service and it has an outdoor pool on the 20th floor

i dont know the prices but if you can afford it ican easly recommend

a word of warning ... there is NOTHING in shenzen - NOTHING. Only factories, office blocks and pollution.

you could probably get a hotel on hong kong island for that price also. Try precision reservations .com

I was in Hong Kong in 1999 and I stayed in the South Pacific Hotel in the Wanchai district. Was an ace hotel and really up market considering I was back packing!! I remember the prices being reasonable espcially when compared to the price of hotels in the UK, I remember it being around £40 a night and considering the luxury and location of the place, that was more than reasonable. Check out the site anyway:

Have a good time while you are there - an amazing city! I flew into Kai Tac airport which was an experience. Unfortuanately they have closed that down now.
