As you guys might remember, i'm going on a 6 week trip to Asia/Australasia soon. Luckily my first stop is Hong Kong and i'm planning on picking up a few little bits for my D50 -- more memory, spare battery etc.

However i've just noticed on an email from a unmentionable etailer, a

Kingston Technology 1GB Elite Pro Secure Digital (SD) Card 50x

for merely £14! Now, my question is -- how much would i expect to pay for a similar card in HK? I only own one 1GB card (also Kingston; its been great so far) so i will definately be buying more memory. Should i do it here, or in HK? :)

I hope this doesnt tread too closely to the wire.

1GB cards are cheap as chips these days and that Kingston card is not the fastest either - Look for something around 133x :)

Hmn fair enough. I wasnt expecting it to be the fastest but i thought 50x was ok. Considering my current 1GB card is a bog-standard Kingston (i just realise thats only £8 now  ) and its fine for me. No idea how fast it is though?

Havent really answered my question though (or maybe you did). If cards are so cheap over here, am i right in thinking they will be just as cheap if not cheaper in Hong Kong? :)
