I have just upgraded to VM 350 and decided their router was pretty bleak, so switched it to modem modem and configured my Honor 3. All is working great but because my router is near the VM kit which is a different location to before its not ideal for wi-fi.

I have gigabit ethernet in some rooms of the house so I was going to move the Honor 3 to the loft room where my network kit is and use the ethernet cable from the VM modem to the Honor 3 which then feeds my network.

Could I buy a second Honor 3 and put it where my old ADSL setup (centrally on the ground floor) was on a connected gigabit ethernet cable? I know there is wi-fi extension capability but I want to extend my wi-fi coverage using ethernet connected Honor 3's.

Further research suggests I can plug in a new fully reset router and it should automatically configure using ethernet backhaul.

Yes should do, I have the AX3 which is a related device and do the same, works well, I've not done it directly wired from reset but assume that would work but if for what ever reason you do not get the wifi settings transferred take a fully reset one and setup as a wifi mesh node and then wire the back haul.

Thanks. I just ordered the AX3 so will test tomorrow.
