Hi guys

my wife's Honor 7 cant seem to download the Three Intouch App on the play store

it says ""This item isn't available on your carrier"

its a UK Honor 7 with latest stock firmware, all other apps work and install fine from the play store

you dont need to have a 3 sim in the phone to download as my s7 edge with EE sim downloads it fine and a Nexus 4 with no sim downloads it fine too.

any ideas?

anyone with a Honor 7 give it a try please?

right, been messing with this today day and in turns out its the Mrs's Google account that is stopping the app from downloading in play store

when i add my account to the H7 i can download the app, very strange!

have checked her account and location is set to UK etc and is same as mine.

1. same address as mine
2. added payment account
3. bought a cheap app incase it needed some kind of verification
4. checked google wallet settings and compared too details to mine and are the same
5. Verified mobile number
6. created a brand new google account and still the same issue
7. loaded wifes google account on nexus 4 (single account) and same issue
8. loaded brand new google account on nexus 4 (single account) and same issue.

there must be a condition that her account is not meeting, have emailed the developers of the app to ask them to investigate.

anyone else have any ideas?

ive added the app to the phone using my account but going back back into play store with my account removed just says the same issue about the carrier, the app works though so not the end of the world, just a bit annoying

I just had a look, only my 'No Carrier' devices are able to download it which means Three have restricted distribution by carrier. It doesn't appear in desktop browser search on play.google.com which is the sign. The reason you can download it on your phone is that you didn't buy it from a carrier that wasn't Three, or if you did it's from the indirect channel stock (Carphone Warehouse etc).

Putting a Three SIM in the device should allow you to download the app.

Thanks mate.

Does the sim need to have credit in it as I tried it with a 3 Payg sim, it came up with 3 and had signal and I could get the Intouch app to work with it (it said wifi calling ready) . It just wouldn't let me install it from the play store even with 3 Payg sim in the phone (with no credit),

The normal 3 app works and installs fine with the 3 sim in the phone

It can take a while for Google Play to realise you have a carrier SIM in. Restart the phone and maybe wait a little while, or try clearing data and cache on the Play Store app.

Thanks. Will give it another go

With the nexus 4, it's unbranded and sim free as you know all nexus are.

With my google account the intouch installs with no sim in it

With the wife's google account and new google account made Intouch doesn't install

How is it doing this ?
