Lol, Hi folks

I got the 14 day trial for City Of Heroes/Villians the other day, and I have got to say, for some strange reason, I am just totally hooked on this game... I have had the game less that 48 hours and i've already pulled in a whopping 20 Hours on it... call me an adict, but im off work with Impitago...

Discuss :p

Dunno what that disorder/disease is.

Anyway I have heard of the game but probly another wow, where it steals your life, thats why I would never buy wow.

I had the same problem, but found after 30-40 hours it seemed to lack content... it just seemed to be exactly the same repeated :(

Atm, that what it seems like, but I am not at the stage yet where I wanna try PvP, I was gonna wait till I was like 20 odd (Only just got to 11 today)

Not like WoW, everything you do is mission based, generally with others, never at any point was it a grind, you don't spend ages looking for money or items, generally it's just fantastic.

and turned into something repeptitive however. Wish it had had more variety in it :(

It's great until you realise that every mission is the same... and then you go start a villain, and realise that it is the same as CoH with different graphics.

Then you go PvP and realise that high level PvP is totally unbalanced.

Then you think great, Supergroup bases. Then you realise that the cost to repair them after an invasion renders the whole thing useless unless you are in a 100+ SG.

Then you cancel your account.

Richie.

That's what I did :)

Am I right, that CoV and CoH are totally seperate game worlds? I've read that a couple of times but it always just seemed like insanity, seems like a brilliant PvP opportunity...

yes they are seperate..but their are PvP areas within both cities where you can bump into the good guys or the bad guys..

not necessarily looking to fight each other either..there are missions and tasks you can do within the PvP areas where you run the risk of just bumping into a villain or a hero doing the same sort of thing..its fun...you never know when you are going to get caught out....

i have been tempted by this game on more than one occasion, but the issue of its longevity seems to crop up now and then

I dip in and out of it...thats the good thing about it..you dont have to play for hours if you dont want to

just log in ,do a mission, log out

its not much fun solo..but in a team its a hoot..the sheer range of attacks and characters makes it a lot of fun...I have had an account for 18 months and am still suprised by some of the things I see from other players

you can get upto lvl 14 within a day or 2..this gives you a travel power which makes the whole game a lot easier to play..I found the levelling between 30-40 was a bit of a grind but that was really my fault by playing more solo...get in a team and you make money and xp a lot quicker

I think some people play purely because its such great fun just creating your characters and playing with the different character sets available...a lot of experimenting is needed to find the class and powers that you feel will keep your interest for the long run...

hehe, i think im just an mmo addict now, quit one and move onto another, but i outright refuse to go to WoW, i guess im just not a fan of all the elves and dwarves crap

i've got a lvl 37 tanker, and it is seriously good fun.

I go on and off it. like I get a feeling to reactivate my account and I play it solid for a few months then cancel my account then go back to it again. I love the game.

like above solo'ing is pants but if you get yourself in a decent team then its awsome :D

especially when 7 of you run up to a group of lvl 40 trolls and you know that if you don't use tactics you could all die.

But you could also go up to them with enough brute force and win.

I highly reccomend it - Great fun :)

Got to level 18 last night, my Blaster does insane damage to most things, and like people have said its great to do teams... there was about 10 of us last night doing missions untill about 2am, I level 3 times, it rawked..

btw: Xfire says 40 Hours LOL..
