ok so my mother has bought a vinyl player to go in her spare room as she has quite a few LPs. she bought one and also picked up a pair of speakers (polk audio T15 I believe)

she was setting it up but it turns out there is only a RCA output on the player.

there seems to be adaptors to put the speaker cable in to and then plug in.
on the adaptors there are two speaker cable terminals, so when it comes to attaching the speakers would you attach both cables from one speaker to one adaptor and then put one in red and one in white or would you have one cable from both speakers in one adaptor and the second cable from both speakers in the other?

havent been able to see it in person due to the whole social distancing but going by pictures she has sent I think that's everything.

any ideas let me know or if I have missed out anything let me know

TIA

I will see if I can get the make and model, but I don't believe it has an internal amp

ok, so she said she bought it a few months back and when she purchased it she was told the speakers would work with the turntable

audio technica lp120

For that, she'll need an amplifier or active speakers that have an amplifier built-in.

It has phono level outputs so it won't need a pre-amplifier.
