There has been an issue going on with the SKy HD On demand service for about 4 months. It seems to be as a result of a DNS change and Sky's end. My current internet setup is an Openreach VDSL modem and an AMplifi HD Router. Based on this setup what I am trying to find out is which mac address will being presented to Sky at their end for the DNS issue. Is it the mac address of the Modem, the router or would the router be passing on the mac address / name of the devices on my network connecting to their on demand over the internet. The bizarre thing is that BBC and ITV on demand content and Sky VIP content still works fine. I am assuming it is the mac address of the router or modem that is getting presented, as other people with this issue have resolved it by changing to a new router from their ISP and also finding the issue returns if they switch back to their old router.
Also if I tether my sky box to my mobile and connect over 4G the full on demand service works again.
