Just updated my Quest 2 to Version 41

and Horizon Worlds has appeared

im assuming this is Metas answer to Rec Room, so if anyone want to join me one evening to find some games we can play in the hangout group, let me know

From what I've read it's a really good way to get your account banned.
Moderation seems very inconsistent, and some people have had their accounts banned despite not really doing anything bad, while others get away with awful behaviour. (Very much like Social Media in general).

A ban from Horizons also bans you from your Oculus library, which is bonkers.
Even a temp ban.
No way I'm risking that.

Yeah, sorry, but that's not completely true, or at least the OP in that thread isn't telling the whole story.

When you report somebody on Horizons it gets sent for a review, a recording of the events is sent along with review. It's a recording of events from the perspective of the reported and the reporter for a few minutes beforehand. It isn't like the reporting on Facebook, that gets handled by an AI.

You will only get banned from your Oculus Library if the person reviewing your banning on Horizons decides you deserve it. I should add that the person reviewing the report isn't part of the Horizon's moderation.

And even on the Cesspool called Reddit, there are hardly any reports of this happening.

I'll still be keeping well away from a VR social app which can ban me from my entire library. If I get banned from Rec Room on Steam then I don't lose access to my other Steam games.

That's why I don't use Facebook for anything except logging in to my headset - too much risk of losing my entire library because the algorithm decides that what you posted a while ago is now unacceptable.

The Scaremongering by those idiots on Reddit works. That's all I can say.
