Hi,

I just noticed a strange error on my monitor. If I am on a website for instance and I scroll I notice a horizontal line about 2/3 of the way down my monitor going across the screen. I have also noticed it when I was playing games too.

The best way I can describe it is a tearing effect. I don't see the line when nothing is happening but if I scroll or during gaming you notice it.

Does anyone know if this is a setting I need to turn off or if my hardware is going faulty?

Thanks

Sorry for double post but I removed the HDMI cable from the back of my TV which I also had connected to desktop (so I could switch display via tv remote) and I think the problem has gone away.

Can you not have both displays hooked up at the same time?

I have always had V-sync enabled but since I removed the HDMI connection to the TV I have played around 30mins of The Walking Dead Game and no problems with tearing.

It must have been some sort of conflict for having both displays hooked up at the same time, even if both weren't getting used.

Thanks for your help and have a good xmas :)

You might want to try one of those things, (someone help me out here! xD). The small circular thingy-bobs that go ontop of a cable and prevent static and other unknown's from getting down the cable, it can often help out with stuff like this.

They generally are grey, small, circular, have clips on to go around the wire, someone else may know, sorry for not being much of a help :/
