Ok, so I bought a HD5850 a few weeks ago and have noticed that very feint, horizontal lines appear on screen during gameplay but not on desktop. It was the same with a previous 5850 I was using and was wondering what it could be.
I'm using an old generic flatscreen monitor at 1440x900 with a VGA connecton but using a DVI adapter at the graphics card end.
The refresh rates are 59/60 hertz (currently set to 60)
Could it be the connection type ? If I invested in a new monitor and used a proper DVI connector could this solve the problem ?
It's not a huge enough problem to ruin gameplay but something I would like to solve if possible.
