Horizontal lock :(

So im led in bed reading a book in ibooks, in horizontal mode as thats how im most comfortable doing so, but then i roll over to my side and the phone decides to switch to portrait mode garrrrhh. (only just started book reading on the phone)

I know i have the ability to lock the screen in portrait mode but why don't i have a horizontal lock mode? even just for ibooks if it isn't possible to implement OS wide?

Any suggestions or work arounds would be of great value!

No clue why they did that.stupid

As silly as them making the switch on the iPad into a mute switch (currently the horizontal lock) change in the new ios beta.

Does the lock not work then? It does on mine when I'm viewing video's

Videos generally default to landscape anyway.

The Kindle app has a built in orientation lock.
