Horrible Histories With Stephen Fry

all stephen fry did was take clips from the CBBC series and introduced each clip in a new way. i do agree the acting is horrible, but its horrible in a good way

What are you on about, watch the CBBC version its funny as hell! :)

I hate to say it but the talking Rat is a better presenter than Stephen Fry.

One of the few things I'll happily watch with my daugther of 9. She watches a lot of the disney comedy stuff like those twins and the wizard girl which I can't abide (although the mum in Wizards of Waverly Place is hot)

The king songs are brilliant. The lad that plays Henry 8th does it really well.

Know someone local who is an extra in a couple of the scenes in the new series - ye olde Fishguard in Wales. :)

Right ... it's the mum that is hot. :p

Thats how it's supposed to be it distracts the children from noticing that they're actually learning somthing!

Absolutely Cap'tn - My kids loved the books and younger children I know thrive on the knowledge it provokes. What a great way of getting kids in to history at an early age. The only drawback (excuse the pun) is that older generations may re-introduce the guillotine!!

S. Fry has a wonderful calming voice I think.

I think it's absolutely brilliant and I've even bought series 1 on DVD.
If history had been like this at school I would have shown more interest.

in fact I've just ordered series 2 -
