Hose loose on barb

Hi Guys,
this is my first water-cool build and I have an odd problem.
I purchased the following
Monsoon 16/10mm (ID 3/8 OD 5/8) Free Center Compression Fitting Six Pack - Orange
XSPC HighFlex Hose 3/8" ID, 5/8" OD, 16/10mm, 2m, Red/UV Orange

The problem I have is that the hose is loose on the barb.
I ran the leak test for 24 hours no problem but then fitted the board in and seated the CPU then notice that the hose was working it's way down the barb on pretty much all the fittings.
I no don't want to fire the PC up as I have no confidence that the hoses will stay in place and when they heat up more I'm sure they will just come loose and leak.

Now I must be missing something as the fittings and the hose are the same size which I assumed was the way to go so what am I missing?
Should i try the 7/16 - 5/8 hose or change the compression fittings?
not sure which direction to take now.

I was going to use the same tubing with Monsoon Chain Gun Fittings and found it to be very loose. Even with the compression fitting done up tight the tubing could be easily pulled off the fitting, which was slightly worrying. Luckily before I'd finished the build and filled the loop I was advised against using XSPC tubing due to other issues, so changed to PrimoChill Primoflex (same size, 16/10) and it's waaaaay tighter on the barb and also the compression fitting properly digs into the side of the tubing, so no way that's falling off!

TL;DR? Change to Primochill tubing :)

yeah I was thinking that same thing.
trouble is I want UV reactive orange tubing as I want to use just distilled water with no dyes. only I cannot find anywhere in the UK that sells the primochill advanced LRT pearl UV orange in 3/8 - 5/8 size

I know Masterkleer do a UV reactive orange tube in that size & it's in stock in UK vendors, but obviously can't vouch for the stuff as I've never used it. Could be worth a try though if you can't get hold of any Primochill :)
