hosted exchange vs imap

Trying to work out the benefits of going to a hosted exchange email
i am trying to have a system, that different people and different locations can log in to the same email account . And move email from the inbox to another folder (ie completed) and it will sync will everyone else

what benefits does exchange have over imap ?

imap will sync only when a send and receive
exchange will sync, pushing the sync , ie much quicker ?

exchange is the way to go. imap with multiple users on the same mailbox will often end in tears.

exchange is designed to work in this way and works brilliantly doing so

Exchange is much better, but it sounds like you need a ticketing or CRM system.
