Hosted images not showing up in Edge Chrome or Edge - but display in Safari

Literally in the last week all my images that I have hosted and I have pasted into threads in OcUK forums have just stopped working in Chrome and Edge Chrome for some reason. But they work fine in Safari.

Can anyone suggest what might be going on?

If I copy the image file path and paste it into Chrome or Edge it displays fine.

I have tested in Chromium Edge and the images are not displaying. There was another thread of the same issue, which was resolved.

walteranderson.com needs a certificate. I have scanned your site headers and appears you are using Microsoft-IIS/10.0.

You need to get the website hosted over HTTPS/SSL.

EDIT: That's strange: refreshed the page and the images now load. I would still be tempted to get them hosted over SSL.

I wonder if browsers are proxying stuff now instead of going direct to urls. Some sort of a proxy.

Wow - hadn't considered that jpegs on OC were hosted from private sites, I'm not controlling that with ublock origin !
if there were further malware problems with bitmaps buffer-underun type issue, this strikes me as a liability.

On some threads I have found bitmaps slow to load, maybe because they are from 3rd party sites;

For page load speed, I intentionally have rules for blocking embedded youtubes, so will now explore constraints on bitmaps.
