Hosting a vent/cs server on my dedi

Hey folks!

I was wondering if anyone had any experience in hosting vent/cs servers. I have a little dedi that me and a couple of friends are using. We mainly just muck around with it as we're all IT students but I was wanting to host a CS and Vent server on it. Mostly this is just for the learning experience and performance isn't really being considered as the servers only a atom. I'm running Ubuntu server on it.

I've looked on Vent's website and it seems sorta straight forward/ish. I was wondering if anyone could elaborate. And as for hosting a CS server I'm completely confounded by that =).

If anyone has had any experiance in these matters, maybe used to run a game hosting company of something I'd be really grateful. Many thanks. Alan.

ive hosted in the past....the vent server is max 8 man unless you rent one....CS is that counter strike source.....also what operating system on the dedi server.

1.6 and Ubuntu Server OS.

It's all gravy until I get this error message.

-bash: ./ventrilo_srv: No such file or directory

I've seen the files in ftp, but It wont start the server for some odd reason.
