Hi Guys

I'm helping someone get their website live, and wanted to find out a couple of things.

I have seen really really cheap hosting services around, but I take it their support wouldn't be all that great.

Would it be smart to get an el' cheapo host (that gives me terrabytes worth of bandwidth and server space), and buy the domain name from a more known provider (and point my domain to the host) or should I go for an all-in-one solution, that includes domain name and hosting?

I'm not sooo clued up on DNS management etc and want it to be rather hassle free as possible.
I'm probably after the holy grail here, but what would you suggest?

I want it
* Cheap
* User Friendly
* Loads of space and bandwidth

EDIT* Whoops, wrong section, please move it to networks & network Dons

thanks for looking

Right section tbh. :)

I went for an all in one jobby, as like you, I wasn't clued up DNS, name servers and that business.

From GoDaddy I got;

.com domain, 2 years. £9
5Gb space, 250 bandwidth, £35 for 2 years.

The dollar rate at the moment really does make things cheap, but at the downside of a little slower speed, worth it though imo.

Not had a chance to test their support yet though, as I just haven't needed to.
